Presenters: Curt Chan & Ethan Rabinowitz, Ansys Inc. Understand new sketch constraints and how block recording mimics historical parameter modeling. Receive expert tips on adding parameters to import generic and native CAD files.ĭiscover how you can create traditional parameters or advanced measurements. Learn how to easily create a parametric model with a feature/history tree. Learn how SpaceClaim’s hybrid modeling technology combines years of direct modeling development with a reliable technique for constraining, parameterizing and replaying the required steps for model creation. It has a versatile set of tools that are easy to learn and start.

There is nothing restricting SpaceClaim or any other CAD software from being programmed this way, but it is currently more complex/expensive to program and there is no immediate incentive for companies to work this direction. This webinar explores SpaceClaim’s ability to add constraints and parameters to 2D sketched geometry, which can be saved and are replayable with a block record function. SpaceClaim is a powerful multipurpose CAD software built on direct modeling technology. Software must be programmed specifically to use multiple cores.

Ansys SpaceClaim overcomes this hurdle with its direct editing and CAD-neutral architecture that enables parametric changes to any file type, regardless of a model’s history. As a result, the models are no longer parametric. Parameters in feature-based CAD systems are lost when transferred to another program or to a neutral format.
